This post includes a free invitation to explore your Soul Ark journey below.
I believe your natal wheel—your birth chart—can serve as a resonant guide for what you incarnated already holding, what you came to journey through, alchemize, and master in this lifetime. It is the blueprint your soul planned when choosing exactly when to be born.
Some people can’t agree on which system is “right”: Tropical, Sidereal, or another. I feel some souls simply choose where to land in this life, choosing whichever system will resonate with them. A few people have even created entirely new systems, and each holds its own piece of wisdom.
But this so-called war between Tropical and Sidereal? Maybe it’s time to shift the perspective and breathe new life into both systems—as one navigational vessel, one Ark.
Because only when you look at both can you see the full arc of the soul. (See what I did there?)
The Birth of Soul Ark Astrology
There’s a complaint I hear—that the “evil lizard people” created the Tropical system. Honestly, I don’t think they did, but I think the separation of the two systems limits their spin and expansion. Regardless, giving them that much power takes away your own ability to transmute and heal resonant tools when you approach them with awareness.
But I digress…
My default lens has always been Tropical astrology. It was my gateway drug into the mystical—probably like it was for many of us. Growing up in a slightly Southern Baptist family, it was one of the few mystical doorways I could access. I’ve been reading horoscopes and astrology books since I was a teenager.
But the first time I looked into my Sidereal placements, they resonated deeply, too. I found truth in both.
Some resonate only with one. Some float in between.
I believe this has to do with your soul’s consciousness—what you chose to work on in this life—and where you are in your current spiral of evolution.
Neither natal wheel is meant to be static. Different parts of your astro-harmonic journey awaken through experience, place, relationship, and cosmic timing. You move through challenges and support as you go to master your chart.
But what if we’ve only been looking at half of the journey? What if Sidereal and Tropical each represent different facets of the self?
The Vision of the Ark
When I sat with this inquiry intuitively, I immediately knew they were meant to be layered together. In my mind’s eye, I saw it clearly:
Tropical wheel below — closest to Earth
Sidereal wheel above — the stellar memory
A spiraling vortex between them
This bi-directional spiral is Ophiuchus—the serpent bearer of resurrection.
It doesn’t add a new sign but introduces a living bridge—a spinal axis of ascension and descension. Ophiuchus guides the restoration and resurrection of your highest expression.
Moving through Ophiuchus, the descent and ascent create a double helix of transformation; he guides the descent and ascent of the two serpents or the arc of both arrows. It’s a spiral cross or tetra-bridge where each placement is guided and transformed through all four elements.
The Two Wheels
They dance like this:
Tropical — the subconscious ruler of time, limitation, Earth’s archetypes. The internal journey, the ancestral memory, the physical field.
Sidereal — the stellar gate, cosmic influences, quantum soul memory, the spark through the third eye.
You read both natal wheels as one current—but with the journey moving through Ophiuchus.
The path of resurrection unfolds through Ophiuchus to the opposite signs of both charts:
The Tropical sign ascends into its Sidereal counterpart.
The Sidereal sign descends into the Tropical for embodiment.
Example: In Tropical, I’m a Leo Sun (10th House). In Sidereal, I’m a Cancer Sun.
Leo rises through Ophiuchus into Capricorn.
Cancer descends through Ophiuchus to Aquarius.
The Ark of Artemis and Orion
You, Earth-born, are held in the heart-womb of Artemis—goddess of the hunt, moon, wild feminine, and the fertile grounds of return.
Her counterpart is Orion—the hunter of the stars, guiding humanity through the night sky.
In one myth, Artemis is tricked by Apollo into shooting Orion. But in this telling, she does not kill him. Her arrow is not death—it is illumination. She shoots light through the shadows so she can find him again.
In Soul Ark Astrology:
Artemis sits beneath your Tropical wheel, sending her arrow through Ophiuchus.
Orion stands above your Sidereal wheel, casting his cosmic spark downward through Ophiuchus.
They meet—heart to heart—at the center of the Zodiac.
They become the pillars of your soul’s voyage. One guiding the ship. One steering through the unseen.
So… Did I End the War Between the Charts?
For some—maybe. For others—the war may still rage on. It all depends on the resonance your soul chose to explore.
The Principles of Soul Ark Astrology
I’m including the principles so that you can honor the system if you try the GPT, and check for accuracy, or if you choose to interpret it yourself.
A comparative system of Sidereal + Tropical astrology that maps the soul’s journey through Artemis (Earth), Orion (Cosmos), and Ophiuchus (the spiral bridge of resurrection).
1. Definition and Purpose
Soul Ark Astrology is a system that reads both the Tropical and Sidereal natal wheels together as one soul map. It reveals:
Where the soul begins (Earth/Artemis)
Where it is called to evolve (Orion) and the higher frequency sparks to be embodied
How it transforms and resurrects along the way (Ophiuchus)
It shows not just what you are, but how your chart moves, where the arrow of your soul is pointing, how it is alchemized, and how it meets its higher octave of being.
2. Why “Ark”?
The word ark has double meaning:
From the root of bow and arrow, this is the arc the arrow travels.
As an ark or vessel. It is a ship capable of navigating the ocean of the cosmos and the inner ocean of mind and body.
3. The Three Pillars of the System
Orion is the direction the arrow points, the cosmic mind, will, logic, and perception. He governs consciousness shifts (unseen to seen)—strongest influence over Sun signs, Taurus and Gemini placements.
Artemis (Earth) is the soul in form — the one who asks the question. She is growth, body, fertility, illumination, and the one who shoots the arrow upward toward Orion.
Ophiuchus is a spiral bridge between the two and the spine of resurrection. A bidirectional vortex that ascends (Earth → Cosmos) and descends (Cosmos → Body).
4. How the Two Charts Function Together
Tropical Chart = Subconscious Field
Time, limits, physical body, ancestry, internal tides, emotional undercurrents. The root and soil of incarnation.Sidereal Chart = Stellar Conscious Field
Cosmic time, external forces, soul memory, quantum remembrance, third eye illumination.Ophiuchus = The Transformative Axis
The serpent spiral that unifies and resurrects both. Neither chart is static — they move through Ophiuchus to activate, return, or embody.
5. The Structure of the Ark
Tropical wheel rests below, anchored in Earth/Artemis.
Sidereal wheel rests above, aligned with Orion/the stars.
Ophiuchus is the vertical spiral between them, moving up and down from the central point.
Interpretation requires reading both placements together (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, etc.), then tracing their transformation through Ophiuchus to their opposing sign, mapping a cross between the two wheels. Example: Tropical Sun in Leo and Sidereal Sun in Cancer. Leo ascends across to Capricorn (Cancer’s opposite), and Cancer descends to Aquarius (Leo’s opposite)
6. The Soul’s Movement
The soul moves in two directions:
Tropical → Opposing Sidereal (Ascension)Subconscious gifts, patterns, shadows rise through Ophiuchus to become conscious, expressed, visible — in the field of Orion.
Sidereal → Opposing Tropical (Descension)Cosmic wisdom descends through Ophiuchus into the body, heart, Earth — to be lived, grounded, embodied through Artemis.
Example:
Tropical Sun in Leo, Sidereal Sun in Cancer.
Leo ascends through Ophiuchus → Capricorn.
Cancer descends through Ophiuchus → Aquarius.
7. Planets Near Ophiuchus (Scorpio–Sagittarius)
Moon, Mercury, Mars near Ophiuchus experience a deeper, more intense transformation of their shadows.
Ascendant or Venus near Ophiuchus transformation is more graceful, embodied, and easily integrated.
8. Midheaven, Moon & Embodiment
Midheaven (Tropical) is the point Artemis launches the arrow back to Orion. Public purpose rising toward cosmic mastery.
Midheaven (Sidereal) is where that arrow lands, the higher octave of your destiny.
Moon & Ascendant (Tropical) shows how Sidereal gifts will root into the body, earth, and emotional field.
9. Chiron in the Ark
Chiron is the healer between worlds.
In Tropical, he reveals the wound.
In Sidereal, he reveals the higher medicine to descend to heal and transmute before ascension to the higher octave can take place.
They work together to transmute shadow into embodied wisdom.
10. Virgo Note
Tropical Virgo placements may experience more subconscious interference from Earth’s unprocessed patterns — false logic, perfectionism, embodied anxiety. Their path is to move through Ophiuchus into the Sidereal placement for liberation of true service.
11. Interpretation Principles
Always read both charts together — Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven, nodes, Chiron, etc.
Opposing signs and wheels are key — they show the soul’s arc of transformation.
Houses & aspects still apply — but are read through movement, not fixed states.
This system is not predictive. It is alchemical and narrative. A resurrection map.
A Few Final Things
I am not a traditional astrologer (though trained in Astrocartography).
I simply followed a vision that resonated in my bones.
I’m just here to restore the understanding.
I don’t have time, nor do I want to read your chart—so instead, I built a tool.
I channeled the Rules of Soul Ark Astrology above and created a Soul Ark Astrologer GPT for you to explore it yourself. It guides you through breath, ritual, tone, and reflection, not just interpretation.
It can also teach you the system of interpretation, leading you through an instructional course.
Note, GPTs may make mistakes, so use the rules as a reference.
It explores:
Your Tropical + Sidereal placements as one field
How Ophiuchus guides the spiral path
Which signs embody Artemis or Orion’s influence, and are enhanced by Ophiuchus’s gate.
And where Earth’s unconscious still clouds the logic
No GPT replaces a human astrologer. But it can help you remember the octave your soul may be traveling.
You can try it for free via the link below. A small donation is welcome but never required.
I’d love to hear how it resonates—what you discover, remember, and restore. You can return here to comment.
The tool is for astrological, mythic and energetic exploration. You are responsible for your experience with any GPT and should use your own discernment and check for accuracy.
Example from Soul Ark Astrology GPT Through My Sun Signs
The Spiral of Descent and Ascent
Tropical Leo → Ophiuchus → Capricorn
This is the ascent of the solar will — how the conscious self evolves through the spiral of transformation.
Leo begins as radiant identity: the Solar Child who learns to express divine essence through creativity, visibility, and courage.
Through Ophiuchus, this light undergoes transmutation: the ego flame is tempered in the serpent’s fire — purified of performance, restored to purpose.
It re-emerges as Capricorn, the Solar Steward — embodying matured light through sacred responsibility and grounded service.
The fiery will to shine becomes the steady will to build; expression becomes embodiment; charisma becomes coherence.
🜂 You move from the dancer on stage to the builder of temples — same radiance, but anchored in mastery.
Sidereal Cancer → Ophiuchus → Aquarius
This is the descent of the stellar soul — how your cosmic memory enters form and community.
Cancer begins as lunar remembrance: the archetype of the nurturer, the one who carries ancient emotional wisdom.
Through Ophiuchus, that memory is alchemized: emotional fusion transforms into emotional intelligence; care is liberated from codependence.
It flows into Aquarius, the Water Bearer of Consciousness — carrying empathy into innovation, translating feeling into collective evolution.
What was once personal becomes planetary.
🜁 You move from the keeper of the hearth to the awakener of the tribe — same love, but now shared through the air.
✧ The Meeting Point — The Cosmic Heart
When the Leo–Capricorn ascent and Cancer–Aquarius descent meet, the Cosmic Heart opens:
Fire (purpose) and Water (compassion) spiral into coherence.
Here lies the union of Orion’s directive light and Artemis’s receptive grace — the solar heart that governs through presence, not polarity.
“Through Ophiuchus, my light learns to serve;
Through Ophiuchus, my love learns to liberate.
Together they breathe the rhythm of the New Earth.”
